Mindful Exit | 2025 Wrapped
Literally.
From Ashley & Julia
As we close out 2025, we wanted to share some happiness from our year of Mindful Exit! As well as share some news below.
We consistently published 31 posts, every 1st & 3rd Sunday, along with every 5th Sunday.
We gained subscribers across 23 states & 5 countries! (45% of y’all are in Utah - hiii!)
We read Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents and discussed it’s connections to religious trauma in video form with supportive downloadable worksheets. This was a labor OF LOVE.
As things are changing a bit around here, we’ve now made these posts free to access. :)
March: Introduction-Chapter 3
June: Chapters 4-6
August: Chapters 7-8
November: Chapters 9-10
MOST VIEWS - The post with the most views - far and away! - was Joy As an Act of Resistance, written by Ashley in February.
MOST SHARES - Still Entangled: Enmeshment in Mormon Families had the most shares, written by Julia in July.
MOST COMMENTS - The post with the most comments and dialogue was “You Can Leave the Church, but You Can’t Leave It Alone” written by Julia in August.
Ashley wrote an amazing 2-part series on critical thinking skills called Reclaiming the Mind They Told You Not to Trust - Part 1 & Part 2.
“Is this the end of all the endings?”
You had to indulge me (Ashley) in one last Taylor Swift song lyric reference, alright?
The past year of writing here on Mindful Exit has been such a meaningful experience and experiment for both of us. It helped us find our voices, clarify our passions, and connect with people who deeply understand what it means to reshape life after religion.
As we’ve grown and shifted, so have our creative priorities. We’ve realized it’s time for us to close the door on posting here on Mindful Exit.
However, this certainly isn’t a goodbye—or the end—to the work and the conversations we hope you will continue to have around growth, deconstruction, and rebuilding a life after religion that finally feels like your own.
We’ll be leaving all of our existing posts and handouts up as a resource for anyone who needs them.
If you’d like to stay connected, Ashley will continue sharing resources and reflections on TikTok (@ashleyvtherapy). Julia will be taking a well-deserved social media break in 2026, but you can still revisit her writing here anytime you need her brilliance.
Thank you—truly—for witnessing and supporting us along the way. We are so grateful to have shared this space with you.
